The Mercer Museum in Doylestown, Bucks County PA is an unusual place. It contains collections from ALL fields of technology from 19th century America. It has incredibly complete collections of tools used in every trade that existed then (clock making, gunsmithing, woodworking, farming, whaling, tin smithing, transportation, farming, basket weaving, etc., etc.). The building itself is interesting. It was built in the early part of this century and is ENTIRELY made of reinforced concrete. There is no wood in the building, even finish work, except the interior doors.
